History

My name is Scott Freshour and I am the owner and operator of Phreshnet Ventures LLC. We have specialized in bringing the power of the Internet to small business at affordable prices since 1999. In the spring of 1999 I was working at a major overnight express airline, hard physical labor in the middle of the night. I purchased a Web TV thinking I would like to learn what this Internet thing was about. I was hooked from the moment I learned to make a fancy email background. I then set out to learn how to turn this thing into a living and almost six years later here we are. Phreshnet was officially founded in December 1999. Work began with one local client on a brand new computer. That machine served me well for many years. I promised my wife the computer would make back every penny I had spent on it. Of course the investment in that old Compaq did pay off. I later left my job at the airport and designed websites full time.

Over the years the business has grown and new technologies enabled us to build better websites and web based business applications. Our focus on small business has never changed. We believe small business should be able to compete on the Internet the same as the big boys. We have always offered high end solutions at very affordable prices. While we are more than capable of building any type of site or application for business, we have specialized in e-commerce store fronts and shopping carts.

We now employ four programmers and two interns in our offices and telecommuters all over the country and the world. We have a full service office with phone, fax, and dedicated highspeed internet access. In 2004 we purchased a dedicated server and have started offering hosting services for our clients and anyone that needs a custom hosting solution.

Phreshnet is allied with several design houses in Ohio and Virginia. If there is something you need for your site or application we have the means of fulfilling your requirements, no matter what it may be. The skill sets we bring to a project are truly world class.
